Account Deletion Policy

This Account Deletion Policy applies to the KOMO Mobile OTT application and services provided by Telikom Limited (powered by the Muvi platform) in Papua New Guinea. It explains how end users can request deletion of their accounts and associated personal data.

How to Delete Your Account

To delete your KOMO account, please follow these steps:

  • Open the KOMO application and log in to your account.
  • Go to the Profile/Account section from the bottom menu.
  • Click on “Delete Account” from the list of options.
  • On the Delete Account screen, select the checkbox to confirm that you want to permanently delete your account, then click on “Close My Account”.
  • Your account will then be permanently deleted.

Once the request is submitted, the account deletion process will be completed permanently.

Data Deleted

When a KOMO account is deleted, the following user information is removed from the system:

  • User profile information
  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (if available)
  • Profile image (if available)
  • Account preferences and associated user data

Important Information

  • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • Access to services associated with the deleted account will no longer be available.
  • Users who wish to use the KOMO service again must create a new account.

Data Retention

Certain information may be retained only where required for:

  • Legal obligations
  • Security purposes
  • Fraud prevention
  • Regulatory compliance (including under Papua New Guinea laws and NICTA regulations)
